About CAGE DNA
CAGE DNA is federal contracting intelligence for companies that sell to the U.S. government. It is in closed beta now.
Why the name
Every company registered to do business with the federal government has a CAGE code, the Commercial and Government Entity code assigned through SAM.gov, and a Unique Entity ID. CAGE DNA starts from those identifiers and puts together what the public record says about a company: what it holds, where it wins, and who it works with. The name has nothing to do with genetics.
What it does
- Finds open federal contracts that fit your company, refreshed daily from SAM.gov.
- Shows who holds a contract now, when it ends, and how often the buying office picks a new winner.
- Finds the prime contractors that already subcontract your kind of work.
- Turns a solicitation into a requirements list your team can assign, with a plain-English explanation of any line.
- Builds the report or tool your team needs when it isn’t there already, around the way you work.
Where the data comes from
Public records: SAM.gov entity and opportunity data, the USAspending award archive, and SBA size standards. Every figure on the site states its time window and its source.
